PARAGRAM's expertise in the architectural design of urban railways is paramount. In connection with metro, commuter railway and railway stations, our references also cover the design of individual furniture and that of wayfinding systems to help inform passengers and visitors. We contribute to the clarification of complex urban design issues in larger areas through the preparation of master plans, strategic documents and urban studies. We took part in the renovation of several parks and public spaces in Budapest in the intervention areas of the linear infrastructure projects. We work in close professional cooperation with the largest engineering offices in Hungary, our clients are transport companies, municipal and state organizations, and a small number of private investors.
PARAGRAM Studio was founded on Christmas 2018 by Balázs Csapó, Tibor Germán and Annamária Bretz. Our choice of name ('paragram' = a pun based on the exchange of letters; literally ‘beyond the letter’) faithfully reflects our liberated, yet deeply responsible and linguistically conscious position. In the autumn of 2019, our new company merged with PALATIUM M4 Projekt Kft., who was architect general in the design of the stations on the M4 metro line. As the general successor of PALATIUM M4 Projekt Kft., PARAGRAM is committed to carry on the good practices and to build a new practice that is well thought out, authentic, reliable and demanding.
The PARAGRAM team has been constantly expanding since the beginning. Our practice has a unique professional knowledge base and network of contacts in the field of transport architecture. We are proud to have a highly professional and versatile staff. We consciously strive to perform our architectural and urban planning tasks with our own team of experts in an ever-widening spectrum and with ever-deeper professionalism.
